It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Frances Macrie (nee Lombardo) announces her passing on Monday, December 3, 2018, at the age of 97 years. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her children, daughter, Christine Anne Macrie and son, Robert Joseph Macrie. Rose will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren - Bryan D. Macrie, David B. Meistrich and Adam J. Meistrich, great-grandchildren - Colin L. Macrie and Nathan A. Macrie, and her daughter-in-law, Sari L. Macrie. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Joseph Macrie. Raised in Berlin, NJ, Rose was the daughter of Frances and Rosario Lombardo. She was predeceased by her cherished siblings - Frances Sherman, Grace Hines, Salvatore Lombardo, Lillian Wise and Joseph Lombardo. A proud mother and wife, Rose assisted her husband, Dr. Joseph Macrie, in his general dental and surgery practice in Haddonfield, NJ until his retirement. Rose was an avid tennis and golf enthusiast and was a past member of the Tavistock Country Club. Rose was a talented artist, painting in both watercolor and oils and was known for her beautiful hand-painted holiday cards. A long-time resident of Stone Harbor, NJ, Rose spent the last ten years of her life in Sarasota, Florida.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation in memory of Rose on Monday December 10, 2018 from 9:30AM-11AM at St. Simon Stock Parish at 178 West White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial At 11AM also at St. Simon Stock Parish. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 300 West White Horse Pike, Berlin NJ 08009.
